Location, how to find The Bruce Hotel
The Bruce Hotel is situated in the pretty market town of Newton Stewart, on the banks of the River Cree, in the centre of Galloway, southwest Scotland.

This area is much-admired for the natural beauty of it's hills, forests, lochs and coastline, and for the warmth of the hospitality extended to visitors.

The hotel is easily accessible from the Scottish Central Belt, the North of England and Northern Ireland, being within 3 hours travelling time from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Carlisle and Belfast.

Travelling to Newton Stewart

BY AIR , the nearest International Airports are:
Prestwick (60miles),  Glasgow (80 miles),  Edinburgh (110 miles).

BY FERRY, to or from Northern Ireland:
Stena Line or P&O at Cairnryan (27 miles)

BY TRAIN, the nearest stations are:
Barrhill (17 miles), Stranraer ( 25 miles), Dumfries (50 miles). Buses connect to Newton Stewart.

BY CAR, Newton Stewart is just off the A75 Euroroute, between Stranraer and Gretna. Take the turning off the (only) roundabout at Newton Stewart, towards the town. The Bruce Hotel is 800 metres along, on the right. Off-road car parking at the rear, through the archway.

BY BICYCLE, National Cycle Route 7 (from Glasgow to Carlisle) runs through Newton Stewart.
